![]() William Clifford, 37, and Tammy Landry, 39, of Venice, Florida were in trouble... trouble with a drug dealer. They had received cocaine from a dealer, but could not pay him cash. He told them that they could pay him back in merchandise he wanted. So Tammy "borrowed" her mother's debit card and began buying stuff to give to the dealer. But now they had another problem. Tammy's mother was sure to find out, and then what?! So Tammy and Bill came up with a plan... a very dumb plan! They walked right into the sheriff's office and told the officers that they had been kidnapped at gunpoint and forced to make purchases on a stolen debit card! The detectives interviewed them separately and found a lot of holes in their stories. It wasn't long before Tammy and Bill confessed everything. They were both sent to the county jail. Why can't all crooks be so nice and just walk right into their nearby police station! --------------------------------------------- In Toronto, a shoplifter darted out of an upscale clothing store with merchandise worth over $1500. A store employee ran after the thief. Then the thief took a sudden turn and was struck by a car! In severe pain with a broken leg, he gave up. But the car took off. It was a hit and run! The police caught up with the fleeing vehicle and charged the driver. The police also found drugs on the passenger, so he was arrested! Wow! Not bad for a day's work... but this took just a few minutes!
