Chandra Gajmer, an 18-year-old from Manchester, New Hampshire, needed a job, or so it seemed. He went to a nearby 7-Eleven to fill out an application, but it was just a ploy to steal two bottles of cheap champagne. He dashed out of the store as fast as he could. When the police came shortly after, they looked at the application that the young man filled out, to see if they could get any clues. Certainly he wrote down a fake name, right? Wrong! Not only did Chandra put his real name down, but his correct address as well! It wasn't long before the police caught him. He was charged with theft and underage drinking!
Now for a local dumb crook. The would-be burglar tried to get into a bar on the north side of Chicago. He easily got through the first door and proceeded to bust the lock on the second door. He pulled slightly on the door and the security bar in place just fell to the floor. Now it was an easy way in... except for one thing. Instead of pushing, he kept on pulling - and pulling hard, to no avail. He could not get in, so he just left. This was all caught on camera, which plainly showed the PUSH sign on the door!
This makes a strong case for kids to stay in school so they can stay out of trouble... and learn how to read!
