Richard Gorton, 64, robbed a bank in Bellingham, Washington during the month of October. He handed a teller a note demanding money. He was out the door before the police could arrive. Richard could have gotten away but something else stopped him... his conscience! Feeling remorse, knowing he had done the wrong thing, Richard just hung around the bank outside, waiting for the police to arrive. As soon as the officers came, Richard told them what he had done and surrendered the money and himself. He wasn't so much dumb as he was sorry. The dumb part was robbing a bank in the first place. He should have known that his conscience was going to trip him up!

Monica Hargrove, 34, from Ohio was wanted for aggravated robbery and kidnapping, but the Columbus Police Department could not find her. They posted a picture of her on their website, hoping that someone would recognize her and call. Well, someone did... Monica herself! But she wasn't feeling remorse. She just hated the picture that they had posted of her on their Facebook page. She called up to complain and told them to put up a better one. The officer told her to come in so they could talk about it. Monica did and was arrested on the spot! This was a case of being dumb and vain! But Monica was happy about one thing - since she was now in custody, her picture was removed. She better not commit any more crimes or it'll go back up!
