Robert Phillips, 25, of Palm Beach, Florida, was driving down the highway when he cut off a police car. Because of Phillips' reckless driving, the police officer looked up his license plate number and discovered that the vehicle had been recently stolen. Phillips pulled into a parking lot, and made a suspicious "transaction" with someone else. When the officer started to question him, Phillips rushed into a nearby store, accidentally dropping a semi-automatic gun as he ran toward the back door. Phillips opened the door, only to see that officers were already there to meet him. As he was being detained, officers found a lot of drugs and drug paraphernalia on him and in the stolen car. When asked what his occupation was, Phillips promptly replied, "drug dealer!" He was quickly arrested!

Now for a bizarre kidnapping case in Missouri. Nathan Firoved, 23, lured a 6-year-old boy into his pickup on February 4. Firoved tied up the boy's arms and legs, put a cover over the boy's head, and told him that he would never see his mother again. When the boy began to cry, Firoved pulled out a gun and threat-ened to shoot him. So what was his motive? Money? No. Vengeance against the boy's family? No. It was a favor. Favor?! That's right. Firoved did it as a favor. And who wanted the favor? The boy's family!! The boy's aunt, mother, and grandmother put Firoved up to it! Why? To scare the boy and teach him a lesson, to not be so nice to other people. What?! Are they nuts?! Certainly warped! The authorities soon found out. The boy was removed from the home, and all involved were arrested. The charge? Kidnapping! Fake kidnapping is still kidnapping! The boy's family felt they had done nothing wrong. Dumb, dumb, dumb!
