It wasn't the economy that stalled the government in Washington, D.C., nor was it ISIS or an act of terrorism. It was an act of God! With just an inch of snow on the ground on Wednesday, January 20, the president's motorcade got into several fender-benders while going just a few miles from Andrews Air Force Base to the White House. By the time the snow stopped on Saturday, there was 1 1/2 feet total. Everybody was snowed in. Nobody knew what to do!
A traffic ban was put into effect, and the entire transit system closed on Sunday. Well, at least Washington had Sunday to figure it out so the government could be up and running on Monday, right? Wrong. All government buildings and offices were shut down. Even New York City, which had over 2 feet of snow (their 2nd biggest snowstorm in history), carried on with business as usual when Monday came around.

A California university received a federal grant of $406,875 recently, for a low-cost exercise program for California Latino men.  Does the program involve a gym or membership to a gym? No.  A community center with exercise equipment? No. Exercise equipment for their homes? No. What is the program?... Texting Latino men via cell phones to encourage them to exercise. That's it?! That's it. Do you think it will work? Seriously, no way. And who's paying for the $406,875? You and I and all working taxpayers! Ugh!
