No Zeroes... No Heroes

      First is a story with no Zeroes, just Heroes. Walter Mitchell got up early to go fishing at Diversey Harbor in Chicago - and it was a good thing he did that morning of June 18. At about 4:00 he spotted something in the water. After a closer look, Walter realized it was a man in trouble who was struggling to stay afloat. Walter called 911 right away!
       That is when the real heroes came in! Chicago police and firefighters arrived quickly and pulled the man out. He was rushed to the nearest hospital. Because of Walter and the speedy response by the police and firefighters, the 66-year-old man was saved!
Next is a story with no Heroes, just Zeroes! A 15-year-old girl was jogging at Gage Park in Chicago around 8:40 in the evening... a little late to be jogging. A car pulled up and a man in his 20's grabbed the girl's arm and told her to get in the car. There were 4 to 5 other men in the car, waiting for her. With no heroes in sight, she became her own hero by fighting off her attacker and sprinting away! This could have ended tragically, but thank God, it didn't!
