The spotlight this month will be on me and my family.
When we first moved to Zion over 20 years ago, there were 6 of us altogether. Now we are a family of 16! We lived on Carmel Blvd. for a time, but we have been at our Sheridan Road address for over 12 years now. We opened up a store called "My Father's Business" at 2722 Sheridan Road, for a few years. We closed up for remodeling several years ago, not thinking it would be that long until we opened back up. Many people have asked us, "When are you going to open?" Well, we are finally opening again - and with a new name, "Zion Oasis".
Now, we'll be bigger and better, and have much more to offer. We still will have a clean, well organized thrift store, providing high quality clothing and other used items at great prices. But we will also have many new items as well, such as tools, art and craft supplies, toys, etc. The front part of our store will be our gift shop with only new items, featuring Bibles, Bible accessories, inspirational gift items, jewelry, children's items, and more. We will also have greeting cards at low prices, and Ruth will provide a custom handcrafted greeting card service. Come and check out her work! Others in our family will be selling hand-crafted items as well, including needlework, jewelry, paintings and drawings.
Elizabeth will have an Ebay service and computer services, at affordable prices. She really knows her stuff! We will also have a "fix-it shop" where people can bring in items in need of repair. Our store will have something for everyone, even a "Kidstore" where you can buy something for 5¢ or 10¢ - even as low as a penny. Look for our grand opening in September!
Our store will also be the headquarters of "The Town Sound" and "Targeted Access" - our graphic arts / printing services company.
This brings me to my next big announcement... We are all going to be in the Zion Labor Day Parade next month! And we will be passing out copies of The Town Sound during the parade. We will also have a booth at the Craft Fair at the Shiloh pond, where we will have additional copies available.
NOTICE: We are in need of a convertible for that day. If you or someone you know can help us, please call me at: 847-849-6040, or email: mail@targetedaccess.com.
