"Not-So-Smart" Phone

Many older children carry cell phones in case of emergencies and, of course, to talk and text. And now with the "smart phones" you can do a whole lot of stuff... they're like little computers. But don't drop it! That could be the end of your phone.
Ella, a 16-year-old British student, was carrying her new iPhone when all of a sudden it dropped right into one of the slots of a storm drain. Oh no! Not knowing what else to do, she took the iron grating off and decided to go down the drainage chute to get her phone. This was not a good idea! She got stuck!
Now what was Ella going to do? This was one time she needed her phone to call someone... but she couldn't. Other people came over to see the trapped teen and they called her mother. Ella's mother then notified the fire rescue squad, who got her out in under 10 minutes. She was not injured but her clothes were a little messed up. And as for her phone? It was dead!
The first thing she wanted to do when she got home was to take a bath. The next thing was to order a new smart phone. From now on she will keep it in her pocket and use it only when she needs to!
