![]() Greg Snider, who lives in Texas, found himself on the other side of the law this past January. He was in downtown Houston on business when, unknown to him, a police officer spotted Greg giving a local man something and then proceeding to get on the highway. It wasn't long before he was pulled over. The officer was yelling for him to get out of his car but before he could, he was dragged out and cuffed. Ten other police cruisers arrived with more reinforcements and drug-sniffing dogs. They started tearing apart Greg's car and shouting to him, "We saw you downtown! We saw what you did!" Greg tried to explain to them, but they wouldn't listen. After an hour of detaining him and searching his car, they found nothing. They finally admitted their mistake. What Greg was trying to tell them was the truth... "I gave a homeless man 75 cents." Apparently, the Houston man was homeless and had asked Greg if he had any spare change. Now, it is not a crime to give someone change, but don't tell that to Greg. He was certainly treated like a criminal! He'll probably think twice about giving coins to anyone who asks next time... and so will I.
