![]() Zach Hample, age 36, a sports writer from New York, has spent the last 32 years making a giant rubber band ball. He has spent over $1500 in rubber bands and now the huge ball weighs over 250 pounds! All that, just to get in the Guinness Book of Records? Well, he's not even close. That record belongs to Joel Waul, of Florida, who constructed a 4,600 pound rubber band ball! Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum in Orlando, now owns the huge record-making creation. ![]() But Zach does have one record secure. He has caught or snagged more Major League baseballs than anyone else... over 7,000 baseballs from 50 different Major League stadiums! He is in Wikipedia and has even written three different books on baseball, including one called How to Snag Major League Baseballs! Over 7,000 balls! Now that's a lot of baseballs!
