Bouncy Nightmare!

On May 12, two young boys from Upstate New York, ages 5 and 6, had the ride of their life... literally. It all started out so fun! There they were with an older child at a party, playing in a big bouncy house. The dad of one of the boys made sure to stake it down as required. It was windy but not too bad, that is, until a big gust of wind came and lifted the house off the ground - stakes and all!
It went 20 feet into the air! Then panic and helplessness set in for the adults on the ground. They called 911 and just waited for the bouncy house to come down, but before it did the boys came tumbling out, one at a time. The 6-year-old was found in the street, and the 5-year-old was found in an apartment building parking lot. Both boys were injured and were airlifted to the medical center in Albany.
Come to find out, these inflatable bouncy houses can be very dangerous. A study done in 2010 found that on average, 31 children nationwide were treated for bouncy-house-related injuries each day! That doesn't sound fun to me!
