Love Life!

This month, I'm writing about a topic that is controversial and dividing one against another. If I offend you, please keep reading to the end. I'll try to offend everyone equally. If you keep reading my articles, no doubt you might be offended from time to time. Read on.
Swanee White, 19, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, gave birth to her baby at home, but left her newborn in the toilet. She didn't want "it." But her cousin, Johnny Rios, wrapped the baby in a towel and called 911. Thank God he did. Swanee is in custody, and the baby is doing well.
In New Jersey, Hyphernkemberly Dorvilier, 22, tried to kill her baby. A neighbor stopped her and called 911. The baby was rushed to the hospital but later died. The mother is facing murder charges.
In Kentucky, Cassaundra Haney, 29, put her newborn baby boy in a plastic garbage bag, after giving birth at home. Her roommate heard a cry, immediately took the baby out and called 911, saving his life. Haney was arrested.
These events happened just in January of this year. Similar events like this happen far too often throughout the year. Jessica Cruz, of Streamwood, Illinois, was 19 when she gave birth to a baby boy inside a store bathroom in 2011. Jessica already had a child and didn't want to cause more grief for her mother, so she killed her newborn and put him in the trash can. Four years later, her sentence came down on January 22 of this year --15 years in prison.
Anytime society hears of these incidents, people are upset and/or appalled.  Why would any mother do that?! Why would any mother kill or want to kill a living baby?! But I say why wouldn't they! In this throw-away society, many people do hideous things in the name of money, convenience, or lifestyle! They will hurt others, steal from their own relatives, even kill their own babies. Don't get me wrong. These women should be punished for what they have done. But they have learned this behavior from our selfish society!
In this "do what you want" and "don't be inconvenienced" society, we have over a million abortions every year in America alone! 11,000 babies are aborted every year in this nation after the 20th week of pregnancy! What kind of sick society is this?! Mothers killing their own babies! Anyone who says that these babies aren't really babies are either being lied to or are lying to themselves. Fathers do not care, and even encourage such grisly practices in the name of choice! Choice?! Seriously, choice?! Mothers can CHOOSE to kill their own children, and yet the life inside them has no choice at all! Why doesn't the law favor the innocent?! Because they're not citizens. To be a citizen, you must be born first. What a sad and sorry society we live in!
Nobody can deny that there is life inside a pregnant woman. But are "pro-life" people truly pro-life? Some aren't. Some are "pro-choice"! What do I mean? Some "pro-life" Christians CHOOSE when to have children and even CHOOSE how many. Hmm, seems a little hypocritical to me. Certainly, birth control pills and patches prohibit life! Some do other "birth control" methods. And why? For the same reasons: it comes down to money, convenience, or lifestyle.
These girls who do the unthinkable by taking the lives of their newborns, in many cases, are alone and afraid. They need support  and  love  when they are pregnant and especially afterwards. Women who have had abortions for one reason or another need to be freed from guilt and depression. They also need support and love. And many of us need to admit that we have not done exactly right in our own lives. Thankfully there is a God who loves and forgives! It starts with an "I'm sorry" on our part.
